"Signs of Life" by Facèré Jewelry Art Gallery

Joan’s short story “At the Lake” was inspired by a brooch created by her sister, the jeweler and metalsmith Nancy Mēgan Corwin, for Signs of Life, a contemporary jewelry art show and its companion catalog. The show featured work by ten artists who were paired with ten writers for the publication.  Joan had the honor of writing the short story to accompany Mēgan’s brooch in the catalog.
